Cycle tour day 25

After the longest bike climb of my life, we finally made it. We made it to the Nordkapp.

This is the furthest north you can cycle in Europe. Beyond this is only the sea. It feels kinda wired, we’ve been cycling north for so long for it to all just stop so suddenly. You’re going further and further and then the road just stops. That’s it. The end. The Nordkapp.

There is a restaurant/cinema/museum here called Nordkapphallen where we’ve spent most of the day. That’s also where I am as I’m writing this. This is the last day of midnight sun all year. After we watch the sun not set for the final time, we’re going to find somewhere to set up camp nearby. Our ferry is on Sunday and Honningsvåg is only a few kilometres away.

We made it. We’re here. On top of the world.
