Cycle tour day 22

We are entering into the final stretch of our tour now. It’s strange to look at a map and to think we came all the way from Umeå. We’re so close to the end now. I almost feel scared, I’ve been living like this for so long I have no idea how it will feel to go home.

Today was very windy. Like really windy. Almost Dutch levels. We also got to experience our first tunnels. Our first tunnel of the day had a bike path, though we soon learned from a cycle tourist going the other way that this would be the only one. Tunnels, when you’re in a car, are loud, dark, and involve passing other cars much closer then you otherwise would. Now imagine that on a bike. Not fun.

This morning we were able to stock up on food and water at a supermarket. It also had a cafe attached where we could get something for lunch. Me and Daniel had burgers and dad had fish’n’chips. It feels good to have some food when you’re doing a longer day.
