Well, that was fast. Hello Norway!

It was kinda rainy last night so I had to pack my inner and outer separately. We left at twelve, which is funny because on almost all previous days we’ve left at eleven. It gets even funnier when you realise that because Finland is in a separate time zone, which means their twelve is Sweden and Norway’s eleven.

We went past a supermarket today. It was good to get some supplies. We met a man outside when we were done. He was also cycle touring but doing twice the distance in half the time. He was also in his seventies. There are no more excuses for any able bodied people who don’t want to cycle tour. He gave us some amazing advice about what we had coming up on the trip and about other routes we should do in the future.

We also met another man who told us the name of the Scandinavian weather app (Buienradar equivalent), ‘Yr’. We had been searching for the best one for a while so it was really useful to finally get it.

It’s amazing how far we’ve come. Last year in this amount of time (sixteen days) we traveled nearly seven hundred kilometres campsite to campsite from the Netherlands to Switzerland. This year in sixteen days we’ve gone over nine hundred kilometres while wild camping, crossing arctic Sweden, Finland, and Norway.

Dist: ~57 km
