Cycle tour day 11

Today we started off at a campsite with our stuff washed and charged. We went to pick up some food from the co-op and joined the E10 motorway north for the rest of the day. Due to roadworks there are large stretches of gravel and uneven surface. Not the best for cycling but it did slow down the traffic.

We found a hut and a fishing pier by a lake along the motorway. We cooked and made a campfire. It was nice, but we were all kind of tired from cycling on the motorway all day. It does not take many unkind cars to make a very bad experience. Not that Sweden has exactly been lacking in unkind cars.

Despite going to the toilet yesterday I managed to shit in my underwear after setting up camp. I guess my body is just annoyed at me or something. I don’t really blame it for all I’ve put it through. Anyway we have the equipment to deal with this stuff.

I suppose you haven’t really been wild camping until you’ve had to clean yourself naked in some arctic forest while being bitten by over twenty mosquitoes. Not great but it is what it is.
