Cycle tour day 10

Basically nothing happened today. It was just hills. That was today.

Ok no that isn’t entirely true, some stuff did happen.
We started out this morning with very few supplies left over. We had a handful of breakfast bars and some emergency food. Not much.

After a few kilometres (of asphalt thank the gods) from our little spot in the woods we found a little cafe. It’s stuff like this that you really need up here. The staff were really lovely and having some sandwiches and cake in your system really helps.

A while later we came across a herd of reindeer. It is amazing to see just wild animals so close. In the Netherlands wildlife extends pretty much just to pidgins. Here that is not the case. The reindeer were beautiful. Once they noticed us filming them they decided to collectively turn their backs to us in protest. We then left.

We arrived in a town where we could resupply our dwindling power and food supplies. We had burgers. They were very good.

The arctic is absolutely stunning. And hilly. But mostly stunning.
